Tennis Victoria Advantage Club
The Advantage Program is a reward and recognition program aimed at recognizing the achievements of highly ranked Victorians aged 13-17. The program comprises eight sessions to be held throughout the year. This is an important program in the player pathway of Victorian juniors. The Advantage Program was held at both the Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club as well as the Albert Reserve (opp Albert Park Lake). Tennis Victoria - Glen Iris Valley Open Day
The Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club open day on 15 February 2009 was an open invitation to local residents to take part in a fun day of tennis. Activities included free coaching sessions, fastest serve competitions, a jumping castle for the kids and a bbq lunch. Tennis Victoria arranged a number of giveaways to support the event. The Cat Empire & Gabriella Cilmi - A Day on the Baseline
On Sunday 1 February 2009 Gabriella Cilmi and The Cat Empire played at Hisense Arena during the A Day on the Baseline off court entertainment at the 2009 Australian Open. Gabriella Cilmi then went on to take center stage at Rod Laver Arena to entertain the spectators as a curtain raiser for the Australian Open Men's Singles Final between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Evermore & Pete Murray - A Day on the Baseline
On Saturday 31 January Pete Murray & Evermore played at Hisense Arena as part of the off court entertainment during the Australian Open. Pete Murray then went on to center court at Rod Laver Arena to entertain the crowd before the Womens Singles Final match between Dinara Safina and Serena Williams.
